For some reason that sounds suicidal but I can attest it's not; it's more along the lines of wishful thinking.
I definitely understand the too much faith in the goodness of others thing. I really try my hardest to believe that others, particularly those close to me, have my best interest at heart. But alas, I'm typically proven wrong.
